We were delighted to take part in SST Maidstone’s Careers and Enterprise Empower Day on Thursday 27 March — an inspiring and engaging event dedicated to preparing students for the world beyond school.
As part of the school’s first-ever Careers Fair, our team members Nikki Ashenden and Megan Nimmo-Ronan had the pleasure of meeting students from Years 7 to 11 and introducing them to the exciting possibilities a career in construction can offer. They were genuinely impressed by the curiosity, enthusiasm, and thoughtful questions from the students throughout the day.
The event welcomed over 20 local employers and professionals from a wide range of sectors, offering pupils valuable insight into future career pathways and the skills needed to succeed. The day also included mock interviews for Year 11s, interactive enterprise challenges, and some incredibly creative team projects.
At Kent Structures, engaging with the next generation and supporting our local community is an important part of our ongoing commitment to social value. We’re proud to have been part of such a successful event and look forward to continuing our involvement in initiatives that inspire future talent.
