We are delighted to have been appointed by Natural Fit Gym to undertake another gym and wellness centre construction project for them. The new fitness centre in Maidstone will be the latest addition to the company’s portfolio of high-end facilities which place a focus on physical and mental well-being.
Work will involve the extension and conversion of the former James Villa House on the 20/20 Business Park at Allington. Natural Fit Maidstone will offer similar features to their two existing wellness centres: including gym facilities, classes, spa and pool amenities, a cafe, and lounges.
Building on a Trusted Business Relationship
Kent Structures is proud to be delivering this new re-development project for this valued repeat business client.
In recent years, we have provided full design and build services for their Natural Fit Hove and Natural Fit Tunbridge Wells branches. Both projects involved the sympathetic conversion of historic buildings. The Hove wellness centre was a disused church and Natural Fit Tunbridge Wells was formerly a listed bank building.
The new Wellness Centre will operate as a private members club, but Natural Fit promotes inclusivity with its membership. As firm advocates of accessibility in commercial spaces, we are delighted to report that all parts of the centre are designed to welcome those with mobility challenges or disabilities.
Formerly owned by a travel firm, The James Villa House building has stood empty for almost 18 months. So, we are looking to working with Natural Fit to revitalise the site and bring a boost to the local area. The new wellness centre is expected to provide employment for sixteen full-time staff and up to fifteen part-timers.
The 0.56-hectare site already has extensive parking but there are plans to add another 11 spaces to bring the total to 95.
